Liisa: It appears you have identified it.

The fish is also know as the "Mad Barb", "Pink Tailed Barb" or "Red-Finned
Cigar Shark".

Unfortunately this fish has to go since it has grown to the size where it
will eat any new small fish that I add to the tank.

It is Leptobarbus hoevenii, a barb/rasbora species from Thailand. And
it is still a youngster. Schooling species, will grow up to 50 cm (25")

and
so needs a pond or a swimming pool. Not suitable for aquariums less than

3-
4 meters long.
