Hi Tom,
These are the ones I tend to use the most:
LFS - Local Fish Store
LS - Live Sand
LR - Live Rock
LOL - laugh out loud
BTW - by the way
HTH - Hope that Helps
PS - protein skimmer
FOWLR - Fish Only with Live Rock
SPS - Small Polyped Stony coral. (these are the 'hard' (calcium-based) corals)
ie: acropora
LPS - Large Polyped Stony coral (hard base, soft tissued creature) ie:
frogspawn
NO - Normal Output Fluorescent lighting
PC - Power Compact Lighting
MH - Metal Halide Lighting
K - Kelvin (rating for a light bulb)
Then you may see some periodic table codes like
NO3 - Nitrates
PO4 - Phosphates
etc...
HTH

Would anyone be so kind as to either post or point me to a place I can
find the meanings for all the acronyms you experts/smarty pants (-: use
all the time?
As a newbie there are still some I can't figure out (especially with
respect to the corals).
SPS,FOLR,LSD,PHD,XTC, etc.
Thanks
