Thusly "Mikael" Spake Unto All:

Can any one tell me the pros or cons on the 3-D backgrounds that you mount
on the inside of your aquarium. I think they look good, but don't know if
they are a pain to use. Do they get in the way of your filters or heaters, I
would think that you could not mount your heater in the rear of the tank.
Thanks for any advice.

I have a Back To Nature background (you can see it he

)
and I am very happy with it. I've had it for two years, and it's not
changed at all in that time. The one disadvantage is that one does
lose some space, as the background is 3D, but on the other hand I've
placed my pumps behind the background.
OK, two disadvantages, very small fish occasionally find their way
behind the background, god knows how, and they're difficult to catch
because it's so cramped.

Other than that, I consider the $200 that background cost me to be the
best money I spent on the tank. The background really, truly, made all
the difference.
