I would think Planted politics implies that one plants politics in
one's aquarium(eg a sign saying "Vote Quinby!" in your tank) or where
there was once no politics, now there is.

Plant politics is the politics of plants (eg The vals took over the

The Plantagone, a leaf shaped federal building in DC, is still
developing the much feared "plant bomb". Unlike Nukes, it keeps
spreading/growing and engulfs the enemy and is self replicating.
Unlike chemical warfare, this stays there for 1000's of years or
longer.

We normally call these things Noxious weeds, like Hydrilla.
