I have often lost sight of a fish or snail for days only to have it
reappear. Especially in a planted tank. I was surprised to find two
young platties that were obviously over a month old down in the
vegetation. Then again, I have once or more found a carcass on the
floor or in a filter. Keep looking.

Aye well, the thing is that was ages ago and im pretty sure that i said that
there was a lobster in the tank, since then he's had 2 danios and a female
gourami! Oh and 3 bloodfin tetra!
