I would agree with looking for a new diaphram first. As far as new - I have
3. Two are very cheap 10-12 dollars and one a Rena. They all work about
the same, one of the cheapies may be just a bit more noisy, but even the
Rena is not whisper quite. I don't think you can go by warranty. I have a
lifetime guarantee on one of the cheapies, but by the time you pay the
postage both ways you could have bought another and not had the wait and
trouble. Others may be able to jump in here about dependability and
continued low noise.
