Marc,

Do you run with any type of sponge filters through your system? Is the
protein skimmer and biological filteration the only things you are using?

I have a converted wet/dry, but kept the sponge and a cotton filter that I
try and change regularly (but sometimes forget ). My nitrates do go up,
and I've removed both of these in hopes that this is actually the cause ...
