There may be some experts here, but I would guess you might get a few more
ideas from rec.aquaria.freshwater.goldfish. I also subscribe to
http://lists.aquaria.net/fish/goldfish/puregold/. It could be a little more
trouble but there are many experienced goldfish keepers there, and response
is typically rapid and thorough (once you get listed. I have seen the
subject discussed, but fortunately not having had this problem, havent read
up on it. The list is free, but what it is one where every post and
response goes to each subscriber rather than an online newsgroup. In other
words email based. Since it is pretty specific the load of emails is not
typically very high. Obviously I am highly recommending it - it just takes
a little more effort at first. But, I think worth it. I do know swim
bladder is often fatal. The quicker you try to avert, the more likely a
different outcome. Good Luck!

Hello

I have got an orando that looks healthy. but when it is swimming and it
stops. It floats to the top of the tank. I have been told this is a swim
bladder problem and that this is because of surface eating. I have changed
the food to a none floating food. but the fish seams to be getting worse
as
it is know floating on its side, but when swimming looks all ok. How do I
course the problem and am I correct in thinking that it is ok to keep the
fish in the same tank as normal?

any help will be very Appreciated .

regards magpieally.
