Just remembered a few guidelines to that treatment.

Salt doesn't evaporate, so don't add more salt unless you do a water change.
And you shouldn't add the same dose during a water change. Just a tiny
bit. Make SURE it's aquarium salt or "natural sea salt" not table salt.

I usually also do a maintenance dose of salt twice a year for good measure
as a tonic.

Corydoras catfish can't handle salt so don't go over that figure if you've
got a planted tank.
