Glass - is harder to scratch

Acrylic - is lighter so a nice option for large tanks

Well, those are some of the common pros and cons, but I have a few more
for acrylic. Pro: chemically bonded so less likely to leak. Con: Has to be
fully and firmly supported across the bottom or it will sag (I've seen it
in others fishrooms).
