Ok, so that gives you an excuse to go and buy a bigger tank! ;-)

Check the want ads in the newspaper. There are often used ones available.
Some pet stores will carry used tanks also at a discount.

Hi all, I just found this newsgroup.....my ten gallon tank has three
goldfish in it. No matter how many different chemicals I've tried, the
water gets murky and green after the second or third day of a water
change.
I've tested the ph and so far that seems fine. I put a 20-40 gallon
filter
in it, and the water is still lousy looking.

The fish are healthy and thriving, but for my own enjoyment, I would

like
for them to be in clean, clear water.
