Wow,
I just joined this forum yesterday....is there another forum where
people are friendly? Everyone seems to be arguing, and putting each
other down? I thought forums were friendly...........
Thanks,

Usenet groups go thru stages...
I've been hanging out here now for a month or so, and MOST of the
posters are pretty decent, helpful and nice people.
There are assholes in every group and there really is no way to
completely get away from it. It's best to just ignore it and not take it
personally.
It's been my experience on usenet that in order to get along, you just
have to go along, and it's also taught me that I don't always have to be
right, (and it's ok to apologize when I really screw up!) and I usually
learn that I did not know anywhere near as much as I thought I did!
lol I've learned to kinda feel out the territory and keep my keyboard
low key until I get the feel of a group now. I'm also no longer afraid
to ask stupid questions, and it's also a good idea to google a bit
before really jumping into a subject. I learned THAT one the hard way!
As far as usenet groups go, (and I've belonged and still do belong to
several), this one is very, very nice. :-)
waves Thanks dudes!
You see, it's pretty easy for some people to be assholes behind an
anonymous keyboard so it gives them a power trip to have the freedom to
"act out" and get away with it. Usenet is one of the few true anarchies
on the planet, limited only by the tolerance of the ISP's.
Anyway, welcome, be patient, and feel free to Jump in the pond!!!!!
