Default Finally a use for all my scraaps opf PVC pipe

While cruising ebay I found an auction for PVC Ribbon Media . Its
nothing more than curls of PVC pipe. I have a heap of this stuff in
various lengths and diameters laying around, and it usually gets
thrown ouot, now it may be something to consider if I decide to make a
huge bio type filter. Does anyone use this stuff and how do you like
it compared to other bio media?

Should not take long to make a couple of cubicfeet of this stuff on a
lathe.
