Default endlers?

does anyone know anything about keeping endlers? They look very sweet,
and I'm wondering about putting something in my soon-to-be-empty little
tank.
I only wanted ONE tank, dammit.

hard to read...

I have a pure strain out of Calgary Alberta. There are many strains out
there that have been inbred with Guppies. Simple fish to keep, livebearer
that if you only have one tank will soon become overcrowded. I keep my males
and females separated and only put a male or two into the female tank every
now and again for breeding. Variety of food, temp in mid 70's, water a bit
on the harder site perhaps ph around 7.5 or so. Males are nicely colored and
look great in a planted tank with a darker substrate.

they are so pretty, aren't they?
My water is ridiculously soft - this was something I wondered about,
given where they come from. I think I will have to do something with it
if I do decide to go for endlers...

thank you for your help,

I just want to find someone who knows how to get *real* Endler's. I couldn't
find any locally, and when I tried to buy some via Aquabid, I ended up with
either guppy hybrids or out-and-out guppies (unless there's such a thing as a
fantail Endler :-( ).

easy to buffer it with baking soda or adding some limestone to the tank,
depending on how soft your water is.
