Anyone care to identift these juvenile cichlids?
http://www.cutecats.co.uk/cichlids.jpg

I am wondering what these are, I have 10 in total, a few of each in the
picture.

I want to add another 10 to 15, of a different Cichlid, hopefully which will
become colourful adults. I like the look of the Lemon Cichlid, and I also
seen a picture of a deep royal blue Cichlid, cannot recall its name.

What do you guys suggest as tank mates for these guys?

Regards,

Gary.

The yellow/black is an auratus - VERY AGGRESSIVE - The other 2 look like
electric blues. Nice fish. I'm setting up a 33 gal for cichlids myself.

Hello,

I have observed the behaviour of the fish quite extensively over the past
few days. The Auratus are extremely ****ed off with each other (there are 3
of them, all difficult to tell apart). One has control of the left side,
another the central area, and another the right area under a large internal
filter. They seem to enjoy trying to claim more than a fair share of
aquarium, and end up chasing each other quite alot.

The aquarium is a Juwel Vision 260 litre bow front. I think the dimensions
are 48" L x 24"H x 18"W...

Which tank mates do you think I can add in with this lot?

Thanks for the ID's,

Gary.

Do you think you should consider the size of the tank , with the size of
your cichlids, when they are adult, once they start to grew it will not be
long before , they will be battleing for territory, and you say your going
to double the numbers of fish..
While your tank is only a 4 footer, it might seem huge now, but consider
the fish at 4 inches and 6 inches in size.
Frankly, 6 to 8 adult cichlids would be enough in a tank of that size.
