JOHN Hi John ~ I have the same problem you do. I have one Oranda who resided in a 10 gal. tank until yesterday. It's easily 7" long, and I decided the tank needed to be larger. I carefully prepared the new tank, used all the water, stones, decor and filter system from the old tank, and added more water. The poor goldfish still prefers to lay on it's back near the bottom - pretty motionless - for a good portion of the time. Occasionally, it will upright itself and swim a bit. I'm wondering how you got yours to eat peas? Perhaps I'll try that again. If you find an answer, would you be kind enought to share? I feel so sorry for the fish. |
