After experimenting with many different salt mixes I found the
following combinations of Reef Crystals and Oceanic mix to be ideal in terms of Calcium and Alkalinity depending on the current balance of the aquarium: Reef Crystals/Oceanic (75/25 Mix) Alkalinity: 10.4 dkh @ 1.025 Salinity Reef Crystals/Oceanic (75/25 Mix) Calcium: 455 ppm @ 1.025 Salinity Reef Crystals/Oceanic (50/50 Mix) Alkalinity: 9.6 dkh @ 1.025 Salinity Reef Crystals/Oceanic (50/50 Mix) Calcium: 490 ppm @ 1.025 Salinity In case you are wondering what their Cal/Alk content is separately: Reef Crystals Alkalinity: 11 dkh @ 1.025 Salinity Reef Crystals Calcium: 420 ppm @ 1.025 Salinity Oceanic Alkalinity: 8 dkh @ 1.025 Salinity Oceanic Calcium: 550 ppm @ 1.025 Salinity |
