Default Problem with steady bubble rate for calcium reactor

I have a calcium reactor (A My Reef Creations MR-4) and am using it with a 10
gallon co2 tank and am using the blue line dual gauge co2 regulator. The
problem I have is keeping a steady bubble rate. I have plenty co2 in the tank.
The gauge is showing it and it was just filled not long ago. the 2nd gauge is
showing around 14 which according to the manual is what it should be adjusted
to but I will have it starting having bubbles at the right rate but then a
couple days later I look and it's not bubbling so I turn it up but the 2nd
gauge stays about the same.
Do I maybe have to adjust the knob for the 2nd gauge or is this type of
behavior normal. It just seems like this it will also be a lot of work and
never be more self maintaining.
Is it possible I just don't have a very steady regulator and should look at
purchasing another co2 regulator and giving up on this one?
If I do indeed get a new regulator what is a good regulator to look at?

Thanks for any help.

AquaD3843,

I would first look to make sure there are no pinches or kinks in the hoses.
Short of that, the needle valve itself would be next to look at, maybe open
it a few turns to make sure you have good flow, then let it go for a few
minutes then squeeze it back down to normal levels. Maybe even just have to
excursive that needle valve a bit, taking it up then down a few times before
trying to dial it in. See if that helps, and don't forget to steer the
effluent and gas away from the tank at the time you do that and for a little
bit (30 minutes maybe?) afterwards. Maybe someone else here has other
ideas. Sounds like you just got a fill, was that a refill? Meaning has it
worked correctly before? How many drops are you going for on gas and
effluent?
