Default skimmer pump

I was just browsing and saw a A-M 1000SL Multi skimmer with an ocean runner
2500 pump. mine has an aqua-bee 2000 on it? which is the best? would I be
better buying a small ocean runner to power it or is the aquabee good enough
for my 40 GAL tank.
there doesn't seem to be much skimmate coming out of it but the tank does
seem to cleaner than ever.

R
