Here's my story.
I have a 215 gal reef (http://home.comcast.net/~fish.tank/ ) I'm needing to improve my protein skimming and circulation in a major way. I've decided on an A. E. Technology ETSS 800 skimmer & UHF Pro 72 Reef Sump. Now I need to pick some pumps. I am leaning toward an Iwaki MD55RLT for the skimmer and an Iwaki MD100RLT for filter and circulation through the chiller. Questions: 1) Are the pumps sizes sounding good? 2) Any thoughts or experience with the BlueLine HD Pumps HD100 and BlueLine HD Pumps HD55 ? They are advertised as: quieter and cheaper and "BlueLine HD Pumps "Our best, most reliable, cost effective pumps for applications requiring heavy flow without all the noise" These pumps are designed and built by a former chief engineer from Iwaki-Japan." |
