No, there are many servers - I think spring is
in full swing - people use less computers and
spend more time outside, using nice weather...

Yep it's working, but yea it's quiet around here. Not
every often rec.aquaria marine reefs goes for over a day
without a post.

Doing a large patio this weekend...

I am setting up new 58gallons reef with DSB.
Having 2nd thoughts about the Southdown sand...
I have just sand and water now - every time
I move sand a little my water turns into milk :-(

As bacteria grows in it, that will become less of a problem.

When I set my 75g up in '05 I used Light House silica sand.(Lowes)
Many second thoughts about that...before the fact.
I've mixed a few agronite bags in for color etc.

Did you rinse the sand before you put it in the tank ?

The thing I dislike about having a DSB is fish like to kick it up
and blow it all over the rocks.

I have more sand on my rocks than coralline !
Not to mention the tunnels they dig around and under the rocks.

Nope, winter is coming here
I've been busy fumbling around building my new sump. Won't have any more
questions until I find out the things I could/should have done
differently. Seven days curing is boring!

Against recomendations I rinse the sand...
But it is 100% aragonite, so it has still a lot of silt.
