I've got a serious case of runaway growth over the rock work in my tank
with this brown star polyp-ish pest. It has 8 tentacles and encrusts like made by sending out tubes from which the polyps grow. I think the only way to get rid of it is going to be to pull out the infected pieces of rock and scrub it off but I'm curious if anyone can help identify it. Maybe then someone can suggest something that will eat it. ![]() I actually carried it over from my first tank where it never grew much. I think it likes the halides. http://www.sonic.net/~kgc/reef/pest-polyp.jpg -K |
