Default What a haul from Wal Mart

Seems when WAlly World decides to dump items it literally dumps
them.........in the dumpster. Just happened to be in Wally World, and
seen they had the fish section barricaded off.....There wa one
individual pulling all those small potted (2" or so pots) as well as
the bareroot free floating plants out of all the fish tanks and
tossing them all into garbage bags. Being the nosey indivudual I am I
asked if they were going to be handling new plants or what..and the
reply was they were no going to handle any live plants anymore.......I
stated well I had intended to buy a few plants but it appears he has
them all pulled out....(playing dumb is what I was doing) and the
associate / vendors reply was sorry, but he already had a list of the
plants he already removed and those cold not be sold and were destined
to go in the trash just as soon as he was done taking inventory and
cleaning out the other plants........

Hearing this I decided it may be worth my while to hang around and
observe........bout 50 minutes later this individual picked up two
huge garbage baags of stuf he removed from the tanks and placed them
in a shopping cart, and proceeded to push cart to back of
store.......I go outside and sure enough he comes out the back entry
door and goes straight to a large dumpster and tosses the bags in the
dumpster......Dumpster is just a plaian low construction type dumpster
they use in this wally world, not a compactor type.......So I go get
my truck and drop by the dumpster......retreive the two bags that
were just discarded, as well as a few more good items, and head on
home. I got quite a haul of perfectly good aquatic plants, and had to
go setup a few tanks in our gazeebo just to place them all in until I
decide what I am gong to do with them all.......There is a heap of
plants there for sure.........Have most of the plants in 40 gal
breeder tanks (3 of them) and 2 10 gal tanks. I keep the 40 gal
breeders in the gazeebo all the time anyhow as they are shallow and do
well with subdued lighting that comes in naturally through lattice
work or the southern exposure which is relatively pretty well wide
open.......in the haul of plants was also some nice pieces of
driftwood.

I forgot more about ponds and koi than I'll ever know!
