Default SAEs in Aggresive cichlid tank?

Just back from a 4 week holiday and found quite a lot of algae on the plants
in my cichlid tank ( 4in texas, 4in Green terror, 5x2in Firemouths, 3x3in
bristlenose). I know SAEs will take care of this as they have in other
tanks, and am considering putting my two largest (approx 5in) into this tank
even if only for a short time. Of course I would watch them.. ie do it on a
weekend when I'm home and can get them out if need be....

Any comments? SAEs are quite fast.... could they be used as "dither fish"
in this tank?

Thanks

Leong
