Default Fairy Cichlid Neolamp in Acid Tank?

Has anyone ever kept a Neolamprologus sp? in a CO2 injected
high light 29C tank? The pH is around 6.6 and gH is between 6-10
(coral chips in the filter).

I just have to separate them from a smaller tank. Two of the Neolamp group
have chased the other three and seem to pair off. I have to remove the
rest but not so willing to set up another tank and I have a fairly empty (3
Ottos)
2-feet lightly planted tank standing by (as mentioned in the earlier
paragraph).

Any advise will be appreciated

what is the PH of the water they are in now?. Going from a PH of say 8.5

to
9 down to 6.6 would be a disaster IMO however if you have acclimatized

them
to lower ph already you may gradually be able to introduce them to a lower
PH water however I do not think they will prosper.

Well you have been keeping them in waters with a PH that is lower than one
would normally keep Tanganyikan cichlids in so the change from 7.0 to 6.6
can probably be done slowly. Sometimes I have to keep reminding myself that
wild caught fish come from waters far different that fish that most of us
get from the LFS which were likely raised on a fish farm somewhere with what
ever water is available.
