Will I be able to make 1-2 buble per sec. only with Pressure Regulator and
without needle valve. Do I have to use only CO2 cylinder (such as Paintball sylinder) or can I use cylinder from Propane Fuel (Carbon Monoxide (CO)? I have 16oz cylinder with CO and would like to convert it to CO2. Is it OK? |

Never ever inject CO into an aquarium or into a room with living things....
They will die. Not sure if you can covert CO to a CO2 system... "-=Almazick=-" wrote in message news:iEvcb.573858$o%2.260436@sccrnsc02... I know and I would never inject CO in my tank. I'd love to convert CO

![]() I know and I would never inject CO in my tank. I'd love to convert CO cylinder to CO2 system I dont know why do you want to do that? CO is very dangerous even at low levels. If you are looking for a cheap system have a look at my experience http://www.dlink.org/aqua/CO2.html Regards Dominic PS: I am planning to sell my CO2 cylinder, Regulator and other items in a few days. |

For good prices on pressurized co2 systems and components, take a look at
the material I have assembled on my web site: http://members.cox.net/tulsaalstons/...Pressure%20CO2 Also, I strongly suggest using a 5-pound or larger co2 cylinder. It can be used or new and obtained mail order or at a local welding store or fire extinguisher store. And yes, you will need to use a needle valve. -- Bob Alston bobalston9 AT aol DOT com "-=Almazick=-" wrote in message news:iEvcb.573858$o%2.260436@sccrnsc02... No you can't use propane cylinders for co2 as the propane
cylinders are only rated for some where around 200 psi and co2 bottles have more than a 1000 psi maybe 2000 psi don't remember for sure. JR, |

About 900 - 1000 psi. It varies quite noticeably with temperature, because the CO2 is liquid (till the tank goes empty). -- http://www.dandrake.com/ In the days after September 11, Yahoo searches for Nostradamus outnumbered those for Osama bin Laden and Sex, combined. |

In any case, no you can't use one type of cylinder/tank for other types of gas. And paintball CO2 cylinders don't work well for our purposes. standard regulators won't fit the small paintball cylinders. And regulators made for paintball don't usually regulate down to the low pressures we use in planted tanks. Chuck Gadd http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua |
