Default YAY! I`m a dad!

I got my goldfish to spawn! The combination of fixing them up in a nice warm
40 gallon tank in the living room and playing them Barry White has paid off

I didn`t want too many of the little buggers so left the adults in the tank
for a couple of days to eat most of the eggs...

Right now i have about 30 little sticks with little black eyes, stuck to the
side of the tank.

They are very cute even without being gold or indeed anyway fishlike at
the moment

How soon should i start feeding them the boiled egg yolk? they still have a
slight bulge of what i presume is a yolk sack (i have a pocket microscope)
so should i wait for that to disappear or just start feeding them now? Also
how long is it before they begin to look like proper fish?

okay, after a day they have visibly grown and darkened in colour, eyes now
look like eyes instead of black dots. More of them have congregated on the
tank walls, last count this evening was 98

As the tank only had a quicklink undergravel filter and only a little gravel
near the uplifts i think a lot of the eggs must have fallen under the filter
plates out of the way of the parents. (when i removed the parents i could
only find 10 eggs)

I know know that you start feeding them when they start swimming around,
looking for food... a friend has a digital camera with macro mode so i may
post some links to pictures if i get time.

okay, so a lengthy post, but i`m excited
