ok so, when i get some seriuos cash together....
start now it never hurts and you can get somethings that wont change ![]() I am considering knocking out the wall between my kitchen & lounge. woohoo always fun my dad is a builder so shouldnt be a problem... but am wondering if anyone thinks it would be doable to have say a 3foot highwall where the wall was, then on that build say a 7ft wide tank INTO the wall (there would then be a gap between the top of the tank & the cieling. make sure you can get to some part of the tank for maintenance reason for this would be i would be able to watch the fish in both the lounge & kitchen. of course ![]() however am wondering, if i had a purpose built tank, say 7ft long x 2 feet wide x say 3 feet high, we would be talking some serious mass of water. 314usg yea sounds good also how much would it cost to run the heater / filters etc for such a tank per month. you didnt say what you were putting into this tank is it a FO or a FOWLR or reef, the difference will be howmuch you save on filters but spend on lighting or the other way around am guessing I would be looking at around £4000 / $6000 for summat like this initially. that also depends on FO/FOWLR/reef though it sounds a little high its not out of bounds for any of the 3, premium equipment costs $$$ though you can easily get by with while still good but not premium do you guys think this is all realistic, or am a way out on the price, or is the size / weight not feasable. go for it ![]() -- richard reynolds |
