Default Mandarin disappearence?

Do Mandarins often hang out in a remote corner of the rockwork then
disappear for a couple weeks? I occaisionally see a flash of movement in a
cave but I'm not sure if it's him or not.
Thanks,
Dan

I've never had mine disappear for a couple of weeks, but certainly a few
days will
go by without seeing him.

well mine will disappear for a day or two and then suddenly reappear when
it's feeding time but I think he's feeding off the copepods in my rockwork.

Normal Mandarin behavior is that they are constantly hunting for food by
searching all of your rocks for food. I see mine do this daily. If
yours has been missing for two weeks, it doesn't sound promising.
