I have a group of melanachromis cyanaeorhabdos, which in these parts tend
to be sold under the name electric blue johanni. I have read about the differences between the m. johanni and the cyanaeorhabdos. Four of my group have the typical light and blue stripes along their body, but the fifth, a big male, also has subtle vertical bars. I read on one website that perhaps a m. cyanaeorhabdos had crossed with a m. interruptus. Has anyone else heard any more about this theory about crossbreeding? And can you point me to a pic of m. interruptus? Thanks, Mark |
