Default cycling

I set up a Juwel Rio 400ltr on friday.
I used about 40% of our pond water and added 6 plants fom the pond.

I did a 20% water change on tuesday.

The latest test kit readings are PH 7.0
Ammonia 0.0
Nitrite 0.0-0.25 (no red or
pink, just not clear)
Nitrate wasn't even on the
scale ie 0.0 is yellow, this stayed clear, unless is hasn't peaked yet ?

Also, how do you fix a python to a mixer tap that's too large.
It's one of those long broad ones. I can take the insert out, but there's
nothing with the python that fits :-(

Peter
