'Meowing' Frog Prompts 8 Hour Search Of Home
Firefighters Drill Through Home's Pipes, Wall During Search
Firefighters in Orange County, Fla., drilled into the walls and pipes
of a home for eight hours searching for a screaming cat, but instead
found a tiny Cuban tree frog making a similar sound, according to a
Local 6 News report.
Fire and Rescue crews drilled into the home of Emily Koy Friday after
she heard the screams of a cat in her home. Koy and firefighters on the
scene were convinced there was a cat inside the structure, according to
the report.
"It sounded like there was a cat in distress and the homeowner heard it
and about seven firefighters all thought there was a cat in the pipe,"
Orange County Fire and Rescue Marianne Nukles said.
The firefighters did not find a cat, only a Cuban tree frog that can
sound like a cat when threatened.
"If they feel threatened they'll make a sound that simulates a cat
