Default Muscle or Clam

Tonight I noticed a muscle or clam around the water output pipe of my tank,
I poked it to see what it was cause at first I thought it was just rubbish
stuck in the outlet, but it feel to the bottom of the tank, anyhow, it must
have been laying eggs or something, cause there is a stack of white bubble
looking things around the pipe outlet, to muscle or clams do this ?

could be mollusks spawn by releasing sperm and egg into the water
column.ive never heard of them depositing egg masses on substrate or
rock,equipment etc....

I had someone come around and look at it and they said it might be scollop,
if I remember correctly a scollop shell is mostly flat, this creture had a
slightly curved shell.

Tonight I looked at the rock it originaly came from and I saw the exact same
white egg things. If it is a mollusk, how long before I would see something
growing ?

I wish I had a better digital camera that can zoom or have macro, but I
tried taking pictures with mine and it's useless.

These white eggs are very smooth and none are touching eachother, but they
are very close. There is another snall sitting on them, possibly trying to
eat them, but it's not having any luck. I wish I could explain it in a more
descriptive way, but the shell that was there laying the eggs looked like a
muscle to me, it had a small part protruding from the shell that seemed to
be holding it to the outlet pipe. On one side of the shell was a small patch
of alge, and I guess the shell has a very fine hair on it.
