UHMW plastic. Some people are using it as a replacement for their sandbed
so that the bottom of their tank still looks white. Shane reefs.org "Dinky" wrote in message ... wth is starboard? -- -- billy "ReeFeR_MaN" wrote in message ... | Hi, has anyone started up a tank using starboard on the ng ? | | |

The stuff is pretty expensive, machining and cutting the stuff is a dream,
similar to Delrin. Here are some links about Starboard, they are not Reef related but informative about the material and also talk about gluing Starboard, http://www.machinist-materials.com/c...r_plastics.htm , http://www.boatered.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=54854 , never thought about a reef application, are you intending on building a tank out of it???, or as a replacement for your sand bed as Shane Graber mentioned. Did not answer your question, but hope these URL's help a little My 2 Cents, Reaper "ReeFeR_MaN" wrote in message ... Hi, has anyone started up a tank using starboard on the ng ? |
