Default Evil ghost shrimp

I saw the most disturbing thing yesterday. My ghost shrimp attacked and
killed the other one. Has anyone else seen this kind of behavior? Did
anyone else know that ghost shrimp are cannibals? Or is mine just satanic?

It was really weird. The smaller of the two leap from behind the plant
and tackled the bigger one. They fought until the big one broke free
and swam away. It kept twitching like it was scared until it got too
tired and fell to the bottom. The smaller one jumped on top of him and
ate him while he was still alive. I could see the big one moving while
the small one picked at him. The small one's stomach got darker with
every bite it took. It was like watching a minature national geographic
episode. Very gross. Very scary.

And if any of you are wondering, ghost shrimp's bellies turn brown as
they eat other ghost shrimp.

Wow! I put 5 in a tank, they were reduced to 1 within 10 days. The survivor
seems hardy. I wonder now if it got away with murder

It all depends on whether there is a sign of weakness...if not, they are ok.
