You won't believe this...

I spawned Otos... I told you that in this 29g that was algae overrun, I only
had 5 otos... last night I broke it down, and to my surprise, underneath an
amazon sword... 2 new otos... Not new as in babies, but new as in, smaller,
whiter, and not as big as the other 5, for a total of 7....

Started with 11, I swear. Ordered 12, 1 died in transit.
4 to another tank,
2 died in a CO2 diffuser
5 remaining

I took several out, put them in another tank for temporary holding.... the
55g. Came back, started to pull the amazon, and 2 more popped out... I ran
to the 55g, 1,2,3,4,5, OMG!!! ran back to the 29, HOLY $H!T, I got Otos!!!!

My wife came running, thinking that I had broken something... the look on
her face when I said I have more Otos that what I started with... She rolled
her eyes, and said, Great.. lemme guess, you need another tank to breed them
too... wonderful.....

I smiled for quite a long time last night.... Now I know I'm crazy... I'll
try and get a couple pics to show the 'newness' they have....

kewl ) You know how fry are much better adapted to the water
conditions they were born in? I can't think of a better fish to have
born in a home tank than something as fragile as Otos.

I liked the wife's comment. Tell her that it keeps you home and out of
trouble ;~)
