Due to users beyond our control, a group of regulars from
rec.aquaria.freshwater.misc created and moved to: 'The Freshwater Aquarium'. http://groups.google.com/group/The-Freshwater-Aquarium This is a 'lightly' moderated group, by members who volunteer to act as its managers. They watch for, and delete any posts which are SPAM, grossly inappropriate, or of an antisocial behaviour as has been seen in the Usenet groups lately. We also have members and managers from alt.aquaria, alt.aquaria.tropical.fish.hobbist, rec.aquaria.freshwater.plants and rec.ponds. This group is open to anyone (new or old to the hobby) interested in discussions regarding freshwater animals (fish, shrimps, snails etc), plants and the operation of their set-ups (lighting, filters etc). The Google interface is a little different, but the company is great. http://groups.google.com/group/The-Freshwater-Aquarium |

[] Personally I'd rather put up with the trolls than use a web-based forum, let alone GoogleGroups. If you think that you will avoid them, methinks that you are in for a surprise. Adios, muchachos and buena suerte! -- Cheers, Kurt |

![]() Now Kurt here is an individual with foresight on how to nip a problem and work around it and not pay any attention to it. Thats smart thinking, not running from a self imposed suspect problem like the rest of these folks have done. Actually there is only really one kill filter that was needed by them all and that was for Carol Gulley aka Koi lo. There wa ssufficient other riding herd on that bitch to foresee what mophs and nym shifts she did and could easily have placed a post alerting those with the urge to kill file her to make the needed chanmges, and their precious little forums would never be interupted. Howevcer those individuals that took on themselves to make a google group and entice the other sheep over to that grass is green side of the field, all have a propensity to just have to be the ones with the final say. Its gonna be shortlived in one respect with all the so called light omderators left to make a decision on who gets dumped or what post gets nuked.....I can see it all coming to a head eventually..and then they come crawling back to usenet for their spankings. Carol Gulley num shifts only to evade the filers folks setup and to **** others off. She even admited it in the JW grou0p earlier today in a post she made under yet another nym.
