I like this forum. You guys have been very helpful and keep it interesting.
I just got my Outer Orbit lighting system by CurrentUSA. Awesome light by the way. Anyway I've read a few opinions on timing the lights and wanted to hear some "live" information and what's been working for others. I've heard any thing from 6 hours to 12 hours. I've also heard blue lights for an hour then kick on the halides for 6-8 hours then blue lights (actinic) again for an hour then the moon lights/no lights. What has been working for you guys? Thanks. I do 1 hour Antic and full daylight for the next 7 hours.
Then it goes right to LED moon light with refugium lights on. On the weekends I extend the day light for an hour or two, just because I'm home and I like the extra hour of entertainment. I don't know if it really matters, however the point to our fancy Current USA lighting is 24 lighting solution. So I like simulating sun rise, but since the lights aren't on for 16 hours I keep them full blast until the end. Chris "Bryan Garner" wrote in message ... I like this forum. Run the moon lights at night.
Have daylight for about 12 hours. For the daylight, have the actinics turn on for about an hour, and then both lights on, then only actinics on for about an hour, then night light on. Basicly you are just trying to simulate conditons at the tropics. Wayne Sallee Wayne's Pets Bryan Garner wrote on 6/9/2006 11:20 PM: I like this forum. hehe no, but I did have a Mexican threaten to fight me
because I took his kid by the arm, and walked him to the door, and told the family that they had to leave. I then responded the the Mexican with "you couldn't fight your way out of a paper bag". That made him mad. hehe I had another time when a kid said to is parent "he wet me", and the parent said "who wet you?", and the kid said "wayne", and the parent said something like "oh ok cool :-) " Kids are always very intrigued when the fish is getting caught, but I don't have any problem with them getting in the way, because when they see that net dripping lots of water coming towards them, they get quickly get out of the way :-) hehehe Wayne Sallee Wayne's Pets Bryan wrote on 6/10/2006 10:40 PM: thanks Wayne, thanks Chris. I just set them up with those ideas in mind. Wayne, ever had a parent tell you to keep your wet hands off their kids? ![]() Bryan "Wayne Sallee" wrote in message ... Run the moon lights at night.
