Anyone using the Tetratest pH test kit? The box says the indicator
contains phenolphtalein (phenolp) in ethyl alcohol with NaOH. I looked up the color range for phenolp and it goes from colorless (acidic) to red (basic). This is NOT the color range that I observe when using their test kit. I think the indicator is m-cresol purple which matches the color profile on in the kit. How could they make such a screwy mistake in labeling the box? Am I missing something? See: http://antoine.frostburg.edu/chem/se...dicators.shtml |
