Default Doh! Pump has a sponge

I won't make that mistake again, but the pump had a sponge in it. It
only took me 5 months to find that (in all it's gelatinous glory) from
my system. I kept wondering why (WHY?) do I have all this diatom growth
and lately red slim growing. And, why are my fish starting to gasp?

Doh! No water flow from the sump. That's it.

Thanks Kurt....you've just reminded me that I need to remove the carbon
from my filter......red slime is abounding and I hadn't quite got the
handle on why as my test kits were giving zero readings.....duh....the
slime is consuming the nitrates....get rid of the nitrate factory which
has resulted from the carbon sponge acting as a biological filter and
therefor a nitrate producing factory and hopefully then the horrible
slime will follow in it's demise#

Disturbing the peace. Further attempts to intrude on conversations will

I say, band togerther, in an group effort and boot low life carol
gulleys ass into the next ice age, netkop the hellout of her, and once
gone, we can make rec.ponds what it once was.......get rid of the
cancer and the problem is cured.........

Or do you all like being held hostage by a lunatic named carol gulley
and her 1000 socks. She is not invincible and if as much effoprt went
into getting rid of her as there wa in the rfd, we would be talking
fish and ponds.........without her interference and trash, as would
allthe other groups she has infected. Every conversation or topic
with her is a point for her, every ignored post from her by us is a
nail in her own coffin.........That cancer really needs to be removed
so this and the other groups can heal.

I'll even pay to have a sever host a wide open forum that is able to
be set up just like usenet. Its out there and can be done easily. But
the only request is carol gulley is banned........she is not gonna
spew her garbage and lies as its a decent freindly forum we want. And
that means no CArol Gulley......One simple ban PERMANENT will bring a
lot of peace......and I'll even expand it to include the other aquaria
groups..all with no moderation just a simple BAN is all its going to
take.

I forgot more about ponds and koi than I'll ever know!

Wow! That makes sense. I just broke down and cleaned my skimmer. I
guess I'll add that to my monthly maintenance tasks. It was pretty bad.

My red slime took a beating overnight. I think it's down my 50%.

My anemones do not like this at all. I wonder if they'll survive.

What ,you mean the infamous Wayne know it all Sallee was not able
to give help. Evidently he was too busy beating back the trolls. But
guess what he missed one.......and a relatively new one at
that......Meet the new Troll .....My name is Tristan! I hate it Kurt,
but Wayne is a hipocrite calling a kettle black and speaking out of
his ass as usual. I invited Reefbay here and I can get reefbay to
leave also as well as the "troll" I am accused of being by Wayne,
but its gonna take an appology from Wayne to do it, Lets see how much
he thinks of this group or his opinoin...which one is most important!
