Besides, I prefer Loiselle and Konings (among others) for my cichlid books over Axelrod anyways. |

Yeah, Axlerod is a semi-high profile name.
I doubt most people with fish know who he is let alone the general public. But crime sure pays.. he sells his company for $70 million and they give him a $250,000 fine. Yes, up to five years in prison but he won't serve all five. I'd give up a few years of freedom in a federal minimum security camp for $70 million. Not to mention whatever he packed away into those Swiss accounts before he got caught. "Cichlidiot" wrote in message ... Crime pays?
He didn't get 70 million from sneaking a couple of dollars around. Why don't you quit your job today and start something, then when you get caught with your hand in YOUR own cookie jar, we'll all cry Hang the Rich! Hang the Rich!... And hopefully your stock value will drop 2 billion for stealing 5000 dollars of your own money, and we'll all feel like you deserved it. ....Kodiak "Charlie Durand" wrote in message news:Bjnic.11806$cF6.515468@attbi_s04... I missed the part where he want to Cuba. Oh yeah, he's retired and
financing Fidel's new Villa on the beach. "T" wrote in message ink.net... Sucks to have a residual income in another country don't it. Especially when you live in the US of A... In the end, who is going to see the money?? I would bet it gets turned over
to some charity or something like that when he dies. His son might see some of it, but it sounds like they are distanced... If they can prove intent, then its a crime, and he should be treated like any other criminal, except that it probably cost a lot more than the street crimes... Tim.. "Paul Irwin" wrote in message ... Not a totally bad fellow though: http://www.smithsonianmag.si.edu/smi...all_aug98.html |
