Forget about the sharks, though, they get 36" full grown and have a delicate temperment. -- dan |

Honestly, the common pl*co is fine, until it gets to be 8" or so, then it becomes a poop factory... Literally, it can poop more than any 30" of fish could.... but another reason it's almost non-preferrable, is after it hits 6" or so, it stops eating algae and grazes on driftwood... atleast mine has forgotten what algae tastes like, it now prefers, and will tell me it wants zuchini... -- RedForeman ©® future fabricator and creator of a ratbike streetfighter!!! ========================== 2003 TRX450ES 1992 TRX-350 XX (For Sale) '98 Tacoma Ext Cab 4X4 Lifted.... ========================== ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤° `°¤ø,¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø is that better?? |

Anyone know? AFAIK, they will graze on algae on all surfaces, but require to some extent, a wooden source of fiber, they 'rasp' their jaws across it like a sandpaper, and munch on the dust so to speak... -- RedForeman ©® future fabricator and creator of a ratbike streetfighter!!! ========================== 2003 TRX450ES 1992 TRX-350 XX (For Sale) '98 Tacoma Ext Cab 4X4 Lifted.... ========================== ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤° `°¤ø,¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø is that better?? |

![]() "Cookie" wrote in message om... 1 plec because 1) they get big 2) as they get big, they get extremely aggressive with one another. Tinfoil barbs DO NOT grow to 3 feet!! A foot to a foot and a half maximum. You arrangement sounds fine to me. Perhaps if you do get 2 plecs, after a while you could put one in with your mean oscar. --Cookie The 36" reference was to the rainbow sharks not the T-barbs |

![]() I think its the cellulose they're after on the wood, apparently aids with digestion. -- **So long, and thanks for all the fish!** "bottom feeder" wrote in message ...
