We were given a small white koi about 3 years ago, it is all white no
othercolor on it. The last time I went to the pond store they had imported koi that wereall white, they were pretty expensive. Does anyone have any ideas if this is whatI could have? How do you know the ifference ? Even if it's not imported, it's pretty and now about 9-10 ins long. So what is the question.....if it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck it MUST be a .......Hampster ..........I think not..... ..............a white koi is a white koi .........Jerri http://www.fringeweb.com/Ponds/JerrisPond |

Carole,
There are solid white koi and solid white koi. If it metallic, then it is a platinum ogon. If it not metallic it is a shiro-muji, which because of lack of color are traditionally culled out. Of course there is the shiro matsuba, which has a black pine cone pattern in the scales on a non-metallic fish, or the gin matsuba is the metallic version. Each has its own value. -- RichToyBox http://www.geocities.com/richtoybox/pondintro.html "RED1102" wrote in message ...
