Right..Errol appears to have these white spots on his gills. lbut he's a
bizarre coloured fish anyway, so i'm not sure its just his colouring...and
with him being a new fish i don'[t know what his *norm* is...

how can i tell if it's that white spot thing that ya'll go on about?

If the white spots are just on his gills and perhaps too on the leading edge
of his pectoral fins, then they are almost certainly breeding tubercles and
nothing to be worried about.

Its the right time of year for it. I have 100+ fry to prove it get a
female to put in there with him and let the bonking commence.

Seriously tho, keep an eye on him just in case, anywhere else and you should
consider medication (tho one of my fish got tubercles on the leading edge of
his dorsal fin too). Scared the crap out of me the first time i saw it, I
thought it was whitespot too. but its wasn`t, it just meant my fish was a
sex machine.
