the nice man just round the corner who is selling his 4ft by 2ft by 2ft
tank has to get rid of the in it first (I'm not surprised, I think they
need something the size of a small house) and nobody wants them. bah
humbug.

For that size tank at a good price, I'd be researching BBQ recipes for
Arrowana ... aluminium foil ... garlic butter ... some parsley ;~)

Seriously though, there are Arrowana specialty shops. Even if they are
too far to ship to, maybe they could have a customer in your area? Take
the tank and the Arrowana (they are neat fish), and start hunting for a
better home for it. Some restaurants with display tanks might want it.
Call your local newspaper restaurant critic to find out who has display
tanks. just ideas )

I bought a 4ft by 18 by 18 instead - you were very kind about advising
me on it. It's not as entirely fantastic, but its is available, and it
is big enough for what I need.
can't have everything ;-)
