Today I was told by the fish store person that I should only feed fancy gold
fish every 5 days. This was becuase I brouht back two fish that had died within 24 hours of each other that I had bought10 days before along with four other fish. I was feeding them once a day, but a minimal amount. They implied that I was feeding them to much and that the water is containinated because of it. Of course the water tests fine and the other fish are ok as of this post. This always seems to be the standard answer to why the fish die, when I have brought fish back This must be about the 7 or 8th time I have gotten it. Thanks, |

Thanks, Bob, Your fish dying could've been something else. What size tank did you have when you put the 6 fish in? I feed my fish once a day, sometimes twice a day and none of mine have died. Like Ingrid said, cycling is important too, over feeding without the cycle completing can be a major problem. |
