Default ro filter

I was given a Kent RO-Hi S filter. Is there a test that can tell me if the
membrane is still good? Also what additive should I add to the RO water
before doing a water change?

I have a Hi-S. The production rate (in gal per day) goes to almost nothing
when the membrane gets scaled over. Otherwise it should be ok. I just mix
RO and salt and stir with a pump for a day or two for a WC.

I think that you will find that the throughput will reduce
significantly, when the sediment filter is overdue for replacement.
(It should have been replaced much sooner).
