Default frogs frogs everywhere

I thought they had all abandoned me. Last year,
new pond, gadzillion toad tadpoles while my
back was turned. This year, nada.

Then a few days ago I found a green tree frog
(the very first I've seen on my property in
10 years) near the stock tank pond, and moved
it (carefully) over to the in-ground pond. Put it
on the sloping beach so it could decide where
to go and it dove right in.

Today I saw another green tree frog by the
stock tank - so either he/she returned or it's
the mate and I'm an evil human. Apparently
steep-sided ponds aren't a problem for these
little guys.

While checking out the in-ground pond today
I saw at least one of the small, olive green,
rough-skin frogs I haven't been able to identify
but which I've seen around here a fair amount,
especially after rain.

So now I'm flush with frogs and happy!

If MacBeth is a brilliant red dragonfly, he was
flitting around the patio today while I was hosing
it down.
