Default Tang with Lymphocystsis

Hi,

My yellow tang has lymphocystis (probably caused by a rise in
temperature in my tank to 88).

He has been in there for about a week. He's eating fine and behaving
normally.

Is it better to make a quarantine tank (I don't have one right now) and
take him out or to just leave him in there? There are 2 percula clowns,
a green chromis and a cleaner shrimp in the tank also.

Thanks,

-soji

I have seen many instances where Lymphocystis goes away by itself.
Often, the treatment is very traumatic and causes the fish more harm
than the disease. One time, I had a Koran Angelfish that had a
persistent case. It lasted for several weeks. I took him out of the
tank, used a sterilized knife to remove the Lymphocystis growth and
then swabbed it with mercurochrome. He recovered within a couple of
days. But, I wouldn't do that unless it dragged out for a long period
of time.
