Actually MTS was already taken. If you google the archives, MTS are
Malaysian Trumpet snails (which you can see is too long to write out each
time).

I absolutely agree that the syndrome of multiple tanks does deserve its own
acronym though.

I take my wife with me to the LFS all the time.
Last week I went in for two otto's and came out with two plants, 4 Angels,
and the two otto's.
I asked her which tank to sell to an employee our extra 55 or 75 or 120, she
did not want to part with any.

I LOVE my wife.

Good call, thanks max. As for the followup, I *did* realize there
were marine as well as fresh references, though I didn't go through
them all, and didn't realize the imbalance, so wanted the followup to
be generic, guess it was a case of "seemed lke a good idea at the
time".
